Default CSCS, NSCA-CPT

Hello everyone!

I have a question regarding those "titles". How many are htere exactly and what do they stand for? How can I get them? Which ones of the 1000s out there are really useful?

Thanks in advance,

Matrick

PS:I'm not only talking about the two mentioned in the headline.

No offense, but have you read any of the other threads here in "The Fitness Biz" subforum? There's lots of info already here, and you can tell by the thread titles which ones will be useful to you.

You'll see a lot of love here for the NSCA certifications (National Strength and Conditioning Association), which include both the CPT (Certified Personal Trainer) and the CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist). But other organizations have solid stuff too. Some require college degrees, some don't. Some require you to pass a test, others just require you to pay a fee. In general, the harder it is to get a certification, the more useful and respected it is. In general, but not always.

I suggest you poke around a bit more and do some reading, then post back here for specific questions that you didn't find answers to. Welcome!

Thank you very much man, it really helped me out. I see through the "jungle" now. I actually have one question that I didn't find an apropriate answer to so far: What if I am from Europe but want to get any of these certifications (especially the NSCA certification) ???

Are there online courses or ... ???
