International infos
Hi,
I'm workin' as an ISSA CFT2 certified PT, here in Italy (my home country, as you can see from my written english  ).
I'm 27 years old and I would like to get further certifications, so I was lookin' for a NSCA certificate, or a CSCS.
I'm also evaluating one of this opportunities http://www.nasm.org/highered/default.aspx?id=308
Can you give me any advices?
Any comment or steer will be most appreciated.

Don't fret about your English. Sadly it is better than a lot of Americans' written English!
I don't know about requirements in your country, but if you are making money and have a good set-up, I don't know why you'd change it unless you are looking to get promoted within an organisation that you work for, or you are hoping to eventually get published and want better credentials. In either case, you can't go wrong with the CSCS. It seems to be the gold standard here in the states.

Funny thing bip, I actually spelled that first with a Z, then went back and edited my spelling. It is safe to spell it that way, for the record. It's kind of the "british" way to spell it that way (like color/colour). Those whacky brits!

The truth is that here in Italy there's a totally downregulation in the fitness industry. A lot of CPT are just people who wants to make money and get one or two certifications without really getting into "the field"...
For this reason, I would like to get further certifications, just to clearly emerge from this situation.
I would like to receive infos also for University programs etc. I just want to learn more, and get a certificate that proves people that I love what I'm doing, and I'm trying to do it as best as I can!

the NSCA holds exams internationally; you can't go wrong with studying for the CSCS. YOu can take exams in Spain and England, both quite close to Italy

Have you got any usefull link too, or any further infos?
I guess I can take my NSCA certification without spending a bunch of money for the temporary arrangement...it ain't bad at all |
