If you do pretty well on the practice exam, then just studying Essentials is probably going to be enough. I thought the study guide was useless--bascially it said to read a chapter and write down what you'd learned. If you know how to study, you don't need that workbook. If the practice exam reveals areas where your knowledge is lacking, then you can hunt up extra info on those topics in particular. With your exercise science background, you're probably pretty much up to speed.
