Default John Izzo's Secrets of Personal Training (My Review)

I posted this review on my site on January 8th, but John suggested I post this here as well:

Review: Secrets of Personal Training

Before I get into the finer details of the book, I must send a huge Thank You to John Izzo for writing this. As someone who was aspiring to become a personal trainer, and someone who is still trying to define himself as a respected trainer, this eBook has helped me beyond belief. While I also own Becoming a Personal Trainer for Dummies (which also contains some good information), John’s book tells you how to be a better personal trainer than the other guy.

The book starts with your basic table of contents, introduction, disclaimer, etc. After that he begins with a brief section about what it takes to be a personal trainer and questions to see if you have the qualities to be a trainer. The deeper you get into it the more it beings to jump around a little, but it is all still great material. Now don’t get me wrong, it’s not like he goes from talking about training credentials to how to squat, but it does get a little jumpy. The material is fantastic though, I can honestly say that as someone who is still working on building my business, John’s book has been a great help.

I can not tell whether this would help an established trainer or not, because I’m not one. But for anyone interested in becoming a trainer, or trainers who are just starting out, I would highly recommend John’s book.

John’s e-book is available as a free bonus with teh purchase of his video series set which can be found at www.AbleBodiedExercise.com.

John is the founder of Athletic Performance Applied Resistance Training, a rapidly growing fitness website designed to provide information and resources by real fitness professionals for fitness enthusiasts. You can become a free member at www.standAPARTfitness.com.
