and I started OPT Monday, but I don't think I should be doing it.
What should I do? I gained a lot of weight during my pregnancy and I just feel all jiggly and want it gone
No, I don't think you should do OPT while Nursing. Now is not the time to be dieting, your body needs more nutrients. I know that WEight Watchers has a nursing program nursing women get a lot more points (calories) than the rest of the members due to higher nutritional needs. OPT uses a big deficit so I doubt that would be wise for you to do know. Maybe look into Weigh Watchers? I know so many women that lost lots of weight when nursing without even dieting.
Leigh's advice in the other thread applies here. Just put the diet on hold for a few months. I think it would be so hard if you aren't sleeping and have all kinds of new energy drains. Lack of sleep is my biggest OPT issue! And the moodiness! Really it's the last thing you need :-) You should take care of yourself.
I would take the time to focus on intuitive eating and nutrient dense foods, and add in some medical-professional-approved activity like extra walks and stuff. Like LaraT said, there are many women that lose weight just from nursing, it varies from person to person. Some women end up below their preconception weight.
Don't beat yourself up about the jigglies, think of what you've accomplished! Your skin is probably going to shape up a bit too given some time. There's no rush :-)
Not worth the risk to baby...plus you didn't say how old baby is. Your body will readjust, it's best to focus on eating nutritionally dense food--if you do that and just be mindful of your intake you will lose weight naturally without compromising your milk supply. The first months in particular are just so important.

that is very young, even more reason not to do anything as drastic as Opt now.
x2. You body needs to heal as well; 5 weeks you normally don't get even a clearance to return to regular activity. YOU need the nutrition too; think of it this way--if your body has high quality food you will have a better chance of your skin springing back and your body looking better 'cause it has healed properly.
Be patient. I know it's hard, with that jelly belly and all (3 kids here, I remember how weird the jelly feeling is) but let your body take care of stuff for a while and focus on that little miracle you have just produced. I swear you will lose weight if you eat good food and don't pig out.
