Help! Ideas how to drop as many pounds as possible by Wednesday!
I have an interview thursday. I know this isn't healthy long term but its kind of an emergency. HOping to do this without putting all the weight back on after since this is going to be a chronic issue seeing as how I have to get a job ASAP.
While I've dropped calories last 6 days or so today I feel like swollen or something. I really do not want to go shopping for new clothes and don't have the time or energy for that really. I'm not expecting to fit in my skinny clothes but I've got some things for the "in between" stage that I'm hoping to get into.
I lifted @ 10:30 am, too early to go back tomorrow @ 10 pm to lift? Would it help to do intervals today or tomorrow, basically lift or intervals every day till wednesday night? How low calories do I need to go? I don't think I could do less than 1200 since I'm starting to get more hungry these days. How much will netting less than 100 carbs help as well as upping the protein, ie salmon/tuna/chicken everyday plus extra shakes. Ok thanks.
There's really nothing you can do in 4 days. If your maintenance is, let's say, 1800, and you go to 1200, that's a deficit of 2400 calories. Not even a pound of weight loss. You need a deficit of 3,500 calories to lose a pound. Even if you ate NOTHING at all for four days (which I am NOT suggesting), that's only a deficit of 7200 calories, which would be 2 lbs.
Try crash dieting and:
squeeze into something you own and look uncomfortable
risk last second bloating
be miserable and unable to focus come interview time
OR:
get something that flatters you now
take one of your outfits to a tailor and have it (temporarily) let out
If your in between clothes don't fit now it's highly doubtful they'll fit next Thursday. I agree with PlankIt's advice too. Wearing something that fits you now will make a far better first impression and increase your chances of being offered the job instead of wearing something too small. It's a hassle but it may seriously make or break the interview. I wouldn't take the chance.
Good luck with the interview by the way. It's hard to be between jobs or interviewing again.

But that doesn't include calories burned through exercise/lifting right? But I get the idea
But the 2 pounds will come off where the fat is...meaning my stomach I hope...2 pounds off my stomach is like almost an inch I bet.
Yep, that's what I said. In fact its one of the biggest motivators (fitting into my work clothes). I need to fit into something that I own for interviews/work. I've been pretty open about how the extra weight has affected my self-esteem to varying degrees. I hope this is not something you're going to start WUTing me over...

Fat will come off where it wants to. Chances are it will not be an inch off your belly. It is more likely to be some small fraction of an inch everywhere (like peeling of layers of paper towel or an onion). Or it could be from upper arms, neck and calves. Who the heck knows.

Trying to see this and Meridiths post as helpful, but I've taken all of this into account except the possible brain fog, forgot about that. I don't wear *anything* thats uncomfortable on me that's why I currently live in my sweats (see signature). That being said, its my tummy that anything would fit more snuggly and I can cover that up with a shirt/jacket.
I like Lyle's RFL for quick, safe (no muscle loss, mental or hormone problems) weight loss..
But you know this..
I don't really, just caught a post of yours mentioning it. But can you give me a couple important guidelines if its not too much trouble since I don't have the book. Much appreciated

Its just a preliminary interview for a staffing agency but the same original post applies, I need to be able to fit in clothes then and subsequent assignments and possible interviews (b/c they can come with very short notice).
Thanks for the well wishes. Yeah its hard, finding the job is the hardest part of the job sometimes if that makes any sense...? I know it probably makes no sense to people but I'm just trying to make myself feel better, I've been out of the workforce for a long while and that makes it hard enough. That plus the economy its all just stressing me out double

Thanks for the input/suggestions and well wishes everyone. I guess I'll start now looking for stuff that will fit me while working towards fitting into something i own...guess it may be worth it and easier to take it in as I go along in this program. A couple hours a day searching may also count as NEAT? lol.
Annette thanks for the advice...I'm just trying to avoid the loss of water weight as that would just come back up (?) and I'll be right back where I started then ya?
How can anyone do the cabbage soup diet...I think that would make one a very unpleasant person to be around, lol. Oh well I wasn't expecting a big loss, never set a specific pound or weight I was trying to hit, just trying to find something to speed things a long and let the chips fall where they may.
But good news for anyone who cares, I did find a couple bottoms that fit and my favorite pair of khakis that I had to stop wearing because they got too big are closing, tiny bit snug but maybe in a week i'll be good. So if if its business casual/casual I'll probably be ok. I even closed up a size 4 skirt granted still too tight to wear out but its something. I feel a lot better, it means there is some progress as I couldn't fit in those khakis a couple days ago. Now just crossing my fingers I fit into a black suit. The tops thats a whole other story now but a less expensive one to fix at least...
my advice is to drink a bunch of water, eat clean, watch your salt (basically avoid any water retention puffiness) and then get yourself a good pair of Spanx. They are a girl's bestest friend.
You're not going to want to take either DNP or clen. If you are interested in what they are and how they work I think you should just google them. PMDL's remark was an extreme example along the lines of "you could cut off an arm". The point I think was that it is unrealistic to try and lose 4 lbs actual fat in 4 days and not be aware that any crash weight loss in that time would be water weight.
Totally forgot that! But are they comfy? I *hate* control top stuff.
I'm not a big fan of control top either but sometimes you gotta do it. Spanx is a lot more comfortable than some other stuff out there and there are a lot of different options (tights, panties, full body stuff, etc.)
As an actress, MissJ76, I get it. Believe me, I get it.
(I'm tempted to ask Leigh if she can post/create a 'Bobblehead Diet" so I can look like all these H'wood actresses. Ha!)
Your best bet may be to do a low salt/low cal/low carb (fibrous veggies and lean, unprocessed meats only) diet to get rid of water weight and bloat. Also, you shouldn't have too much brain fog by Thurs., but YMMV.
Or even better, make peace with yourself as you are and prepare for the interview. If you're worried about how you look or waste time comparing yourself with others, your mind won't be focused on getting the job... and the interviewer will sense your distraction/ uncomfortable feelings. Trust me.
Shop your closet today and try on EVERYTHING so you can put a comfortable outfit together. If it doesn't fit, don't judge-- just cast it aside and keep going. Find an outfit that looks great on you AS YOU ARE RIGHT NOW, from your shoes to your earrrings, and set it aside. Then you won't have to deal with nerves on interview day.
Now, where do I get a fist fulla clen? j/k
