I've been breaking into the nrol4w for the last 2 weeks and finally feel comfortable getting really started this Monday.
I'm aiming primarily at fat loss- my stomach, hips and thighs being the problem areas

I picked this up somewhere along the forum .. somebody had written that fat loss was more about creating a calorie deficit and diet than the gym.
Should I be eating 300 calories less than my maintenance level when I start out? How do I make sure that my body isn't going into starvation mode? Also, how exactly does water weight work? Does the body begin to store water as soon as it sees some action, or does that only happen when it doesnt get enough nutrition? Idk, may be a dumb que but I'd rather find out than do the wrong thing.
