I don't really know what to quote but I am happy Desiree that you are on this path. I certainly did hope for it back then. I know this can all be overwhelming as it is to everyone that is in your position. You are not alone and you will find that people in this type of position or similar ones are the quickest to jump to support one another and help calm those fears and late night 2nd guesses that can occur.
Blind support and trust you never have to give, question all you want. Just make sure you want away understand everything you can. You are gaining the control the right way now.

I am really glad to hear your progress, you seem to be handling it great,now are you doing the MRM as well or are you just doing plan on your own?? You seem to have come along way and I wish you the best in getting to goal!!
Sorry for the late reply, Dessie! I'm still following your thread and meant to reply last week, but time got away from me.
I have read all of MRM and found it vastly helpful, but no, I'm not following the program. I integrated its principles, but my "repair" is 2 weeks shorter since I didn't think I needed the full program, and my exercise is a smidge more strenuous (though I did take two full weeks off from training). But of course I understand I can't complain about my minor weight gain (3 lbs, which I suspect is mostly water/food weight particularly since it happened over night) since I'm not following MRM, and of course if I have problems when I start up OPT I know I'll have to do MRM in full.
I plan to begin on June 8. This week I'm eating at maintenance calories--though it may be a bit over due to the holiday and attending a wedding on Sunday!--and next week I'm stuffing myself. Thanks for the well wishes, and good luck with your repair!
Thank you so much for your reply, and I know you only want the best for me before and now, I was just to blind or ignorant to see it!! I was a lost pup and did not know which way I was going!! But my eyes are open now and I am getting the knowledge and could really Kick my self in the booty!! But that is what they say "We live thru our mistakes!!"
I think this forum is Wonderful and a real eye opener, I never would have guessed how many people are going thru the exact same thing--I am sure there are probably alot more out there that don't even realize it yet!!
I am so impressed with the Fact that you spend endless hours,nights, etc studying, researching, writing, personal training, etc and you are willing to not only publish it, but also share it with the people on your forums, podcast, etc!! How many personal trainers/authors can you say will do that!! I mean my Gosh--
How overwhelming is it when you are clueless and you walk into a book store--with the mind to start on a diet/exercise program--Which do I choose, which one do I do?? It is quite scary now that i really sit down and think about it--But your books touch every little detail, water retention, hormones, I mean even the gut issues--I came up allergic/irritated by 65 foods the last time I had the testing done--I had to laugh when I read that part in your book--it is like oh my gosh "she is writing about me"---that is what really grabs people--you hit it right on and I think you will continue to go really Big Places!! --and the greatest part of all is you keep it so personal and real with your clients/buyers!!
Ps. I will have to pick your brain a bit, but not right now.

I am still struggling over here, but I will live thru you right now, I will catch up with ya--you'll see, haha!!
Only 3 pounds/maybe just water, that is ok, especially since you are kinda doing your own repair program--You are brave--I am following the program not only because I need it, but I need to go thru everything and be my own little guine pig--Learn my body all over again, signs, weakness, strengths, etc!! Plus I don't really trust myself--that is more the truth!! I will go up in weight and cut my calories like a bad girl, but not this time!!!
I am so happy for you and next week --you get to pig out, Yeah, don't let the scale scare you ---in Fact !! Don't weigh yourself that whole week, that is probably what I will do on Week 8!! yeah right!! Not that healthy yet!!
