Default Help Reaching My Goal

Hello everyone. I wanted to post in this section since it pertains to weight loss. I am a 24 year old male, currently 5ft 8 and weight 187 lbs. 15 months ago, I weighed nearly 230 lbs, and cannot seem to get down to my ultimate goal of 170 lbs. I have been stuck on my current weight for a few months, and was wondering what kind of diet plan and exercise plan I should implement to help me reach my goals.

I have been doing circuit weight training MWF, 10 exercises, and cardio/abs for 30-45 minutes 3 days a week. If you need to know my daily diet, please let me know. I will be happy to provide you with other information as well.

I appreciate the time!

You're going to need to be a lot more detailed if you want suggestions. What does your circuit training include, reps, sets - and have you changed it at all since you started? Cardio/abs - what do you do and what is your HR? And yes, exact diet info (calories or portion sizes, macros if you know them) - then you'll get some replies...

Agreed with above, we need a lot more detail. I will say usually when I see a question like this it means a person lacks the basic fundmentals of fat loss knowledge and the best thing you can do is nip that and fast or else you are spinning your wheels.

I don't normally pimp my own book, that is what Sinead is for, but in this case if you find you need a really good overview on it I recommend picking it up.

LOL Now that's one kind of pimp I don't mind being...

Sorry I'm late to the show--yeah, you should check out Leigh's Fat Loss Troubleshoot book and you'll get some really good info about the general mechanics of weight loss plus some pretty good guidelines to help you get down to your goal weight.

My guess, though, is that the culprit is your diet. That seems to be the biggest problem, especially when people post that they've lost weight but can't get to the next level and the info they post is general info about their workout. It's all about the food, baby.

So post some more info and really think about getting Leigh's books. They rock.
