Default Fatty Legs

Help--I am holding weight in my lower body. My legs are thickly fatty, if that makes sense! I seem to retain water too as I can press on them and they hold an indentation for a second. Am I retaining water in general or could this be more hormonal?? I am carrying about 8 pounds more than I used to (before I quit smoking) and I didn't know if this is common when holding fat or if it's diet or chemically related. Will too many carbs do it?

If you quit smoking then chances are you are eating more that your realize or eating the same but moving less or burning less.

It seems like from the posts you are making some stuff is missing for the knowledge bank.

I would really focus on the material you have, no skimming

Also is this after you trained and have really bad DOMS? Cause that will cause your legs to swell.

You know, I can't really say because before I quit I never had to count calories. I just ate whatever..not that bad but not that good and maintained my weight at 128-130. Now I admit when I quit I did start exercising so I probably have put on a few pounds of muscle in the last few years but still have some new fat I'm dealing with.
I've actually read your FTLS twice and the REPAIR manual twice. Still trying to get to the point of eating clean calories and getting the macros right. But, I still manage to stay stuck! I'll get there once I buckle down I hope.
On the leg thing..I'm not sure what it is..they are swollen and maybe that's just making the fat look thicker..not sure! But, you know how us women are..stressing about one thing or another from one day to the next.
Mostly I'm happy being a 38 yr old mom that is 5'6 and 140 lbs and a size 2/4. That's not too bad but not where I want to be, you know? Thanks for the support!
