No loss here... I came in at 221.4 this morning. Gain of .2. Ugh! But I weigh less than I did two weeks ago, so I can be reasonably content.

Hubby forgot and left the porch light on while I was at the gym, but apparently no trick or treaters rang the bell. I think they tend to operate before dark around here, the little weenies, LOL! Either that or the rain discouraged 'em.

I hope so.

I finished measurements... a little change, but not much. I think I mess up the shoulder measurement too much and it was probably off last week, meaning I hadn't lost as many inches as I thought then. I just can't do that one reliably... too much slippage of the tape on my back.

Here's my check-in... now I'm outta here for the night. I've got to eat something, maybe my emergency shake. And then I want to sleep. It feel like someone is bashing in my skull with a hammer.

The exhaustion has been so bad I couldn't even stay up to watch one of my favorite shows in its final season on Thursday. I tried to nap and wake up, but when the alarm went off, I just couldn't get up.

I added some updates to my log minus the pics. That will have to wait till tomorrow. Have a good rest of the weekend everybody. I don't have anything exciting to add food wise from this past week just some basic stuff like fajitas, a pork stir fry.

I think everybody is doing so well.

Cynthia I hope you feel better soon.

Great job everyone! I am looking forward to my refeed today too. I really want a bagel, which is weird because I'm not really a bagel-person. I am going to see friend finish her first half marathon today and you know there will be alot of simple carbs there for me to nosh on. I'm also thinking Jamba Juice....

I just posted my results on my blog. Tomorrow is refeed for me. I can't wait!

I didn't see very clear results this week but hopefully will see more this week. Jamba Juice is a fantastic idea!

So we eat a normal meal in the morning right? Then start our 6 hours of refeed whenever? And then go back to a regular meal or eat nothing else? I think eat nothing else.

Good luck everyone!!

Joy, I also posted this on your blog:

I know there's no difference in your numbers but I definitely see a difference in the pictures.

I'm going through something similar right now. I've had no difference in weight or measurements for a couple of weeks but last week I got three comments that I looked thinner and clothes are definitely a lot looser.

Keep plugging away and hopefully the scale and tape will catch up next week!

Great job everyone! I'm skipping the refeed day, since clearly the Halloween candy that I consumed on Friday and Saturday were not on my plan LOL! I haven't touched ANY today though, and I just took Shari's eggplant lasagna out of the oven.... so I'm off to dig in!

I've been entering some recipes for crockpot and casserole into daily plate. If you search the food database by by "Bytsi's" they should come up (I call all of them "Bytsi's..." so I can find them easily). I made a good crunchy taco casserole and modified the bisquick easy cheeseburger pie... also a couple chili recipes, I think...

Shari ~ I just made a turkey dinner meal from Eating for Life for tomorrow. I'm not sure how it turned out, so if it is good, I will post the recipe.

If it were me, I'd just take one of my normal meals that I REALLY like and up the portions in Fitday until I hit my macros/calories for the day and that would be my meal for the day.

Quick check in here... have been kind of tired, so haven't updated my blog lately. Forearms are just killing me, even though I've not done that much computer stuff.

I did my cheat day... I got enough energy out of it to sit upright on the couch and not to fall asleep during my Monday night TV programs and that was it. I must've eaten some 4000 calories. And nothing for energy still. Headaches went mostly away for a day but are now coming back. Haven't gotten to the pounding part yet though, so I'm grateful for that.

The low energy deal is SO NOT NORMAL for me... normally give me a little extra carb, a little extra cal and I am raring to go, but it's not happening at the moment. I was leaning against the wall in the shower just now . Exercise is going to be a little vacuuming of the kitchen, dining nook and hallway. And I'm trying to muster energy for that!

I tried foam rolling today, kind of figuring since I had no energy for NT sprints I should do SOMETHING. My shoulder doesn't care for any of that bit where you have your arms behind you and are supporting your weight on them! Neither did my wrists. I can only support myself for 2-3 seconds anyway, not enough to roll.

So in the end, I couldn't really do all that much. I managed to roll my butt a little on the thing and my shoulders, but doing my shoulders hurt. Tried doing my calves by laying on my back and wiggling my hips so I could get the roller to move under them.

I could feel sore spots in my calves... it made my left leg spasm once. I tried to breathe deep, but it was more like panting really. It hurt. I kept clenching up my stomach, it wasn't exactly relaxing. My left calf particularly has been a problem area since I was in a car accident in 1993.

I could, though, do the tops of my thighs. That hurt, but not too horribly. That is more like a plank position on my elbows, so didn't bother my shoulder as badly. I tried to do my outer thigh... I couldn't take the pain. But I guess I can try to do the tops here and there since it was do-able.

I can't say I felt better after, my shoulder hurt and I felt tense and stressed. The cats didn't like seeing me in pain on the floor, Tablet came round to offer a comforting purr. Gotta love the kitties!

Good luck Shari and hope you will recover quickly!

Cynthia,
At first I thought the roller I got was too hard a brand. After using it about 6 times, I started really liking it, getting more able to "roll around," and feel it was helping...

Use it a bit at a time, and perservere, and you might really like it!

Cynthia, could you be getting sick? It sounds like your body might be building up to something. I'm sorry you haven't been feeling well lately!

Sinead, no, I'm not sick and I don't think I'm getting sick either, unless this stupid extreme deficit drags my immune system down with it! Mind you, I have a STRONG immune system and I probably CAN last out this torture for another week without getting sick. I haven't had so much as a cold in a year and three quarters!

I eat a good and varied diet, though admittedly, it was better BEFORE I started this challenge, when I actually had some energy to do more about fixing food and I had some calories to work with!

Etana, I normally try to do only one protein shake a day. You are seeing the results of this crazy deficit on my energy level. Don't judge me by how I am under this deficit, it is dragging my energy levels to the bottoming out point. As for chicken sausage, I don't eat that all that often, it's an occasional treat. Yes, chicken breast would be better... but all I can find around here is really huge ones and they always taste mealy to me. With the result that they make me gag and I eat a tiny portion and give the rest to hubby who isn't picky about meat texture like I am. Not quite the way to get my protein into *ME*! And I don't much like cold or reheated chicken, so there's also that. It's easier to batch cook things that I like.

The nearest Trader Joe's is in Portland. 4 hour drive... overnight hotel stay, since no way my arms will take 8 hours driving in one day. Needless to say, I don't shop there, though I love Trader Joe's and did shop there frequently when I lived in CA.

I will continue to give the foam roller a chance. However, both my bad calf and bad left thigh were giving me stabbing pains in the grocery store last night. They don't feel good today either. And I woke up with a really numb left hand this morning. My shoulder is NOT happy.

Anyway, I started feeling a tiny bit better for a couple hours on the night of my 4000 calorie cheat day... so that's the other reason I know I'm not sick and it's strictly the deficit affecting me. If I'm sick, I always lose my appetite!

Won't a 4000 cal cheat day defeat a week of 1400 calorie deficit? (I don't know what your deficit is... A 1400 cal deficit becomes 1771 calories a day, which could be why you're not losing as much as you'd like...?

I'm just conjecturing here, because as we sit here I'm up 5 pounds. It's rough for me to lose...

Good for you for counting up your cheat day, instead of going unconscious.
