Default what to do when not hungry?

Lately I havent been feeling hungry at night. Not sure why, but perhaps its because I eat all day. Well, I am so used to eating dinner, and I enjoy it, but it feels strange eating when I am not really hungry.

So what would you do? Skip the meal? Or just eat something anyway......I know it sounds like a dumb question, but it will be a hard change for me to skip dinner!

My answer depends on how much you've already eaten and what your goals are. Are you trying to be at a deficit, and if so, how much? Are you trying to maintain or gain or ??? What percent deficit are you going for / at?

If you are at a small deficit and not hungry and it wouldn't put you at like 50% or something, then, hey - go for it, right? If you're not trying to lose, then obviously you want to eat enough to maintain (or gain)... Also maybe if you need to fix up your macros for the day, you might want to eat a small meal...

Do you get hungry once you start eating, or is it a struggle to eat the entire meal?

Thanks....your answer helps. So it sounds like if I am trying to lose, its OK to skip as long as not to bring me to starvation. And if I am trying to gain or maintain, I should eat.

Struggle to eat the entire meal....seems like its related to stomach gas.
