The Fat Loss TroubleshootThis is your place to troubleshoot your fat loss problems from nutrition to training. This section is led by Leigh Peele, author of "The Fat Loss Troubleshoot," the ultimate fat loss manual. If your results have slowed or stalled this is the place to come for advice for all your fat loss needs.
I posted this on my log, but I'm repeating it here...
I'm beginning a new thread, and hope you will enjoy contributing what you acknowledge yourself for...
Acknowledgement:
9/18: I did my mobility and Foam Roller exercises
a. I acknowledge my consistency in hitting my calories and macros
b. reporting daily in a timely fashion
c. weighing my food
d. Spending a LOT of time reading the FLTS and MRM books and learning the program the first week, so that the past 2.5 weeks have been auto-pilot easy
e. weight down 4-7 pounds in past 3.5 weeks
f. learning new exercises and doing and ENJOYING them
g. eating pretty clean without feeling deprived, just looking at "clean" differently: not pure or perfect, but rather what feels good and is healthy for me, so if I occasionally have something processed, it is 'occasional' therefore not terrible
h. Looking at hitting my calories and macros in a new way, in the morning and afternoon again to see what cal and macros I have left for the evening... As a game to hit by end of the day, instead of scraggling, nibbling, graising at the end of the day and then adding up what damage I did looking back at the evening.
I cut back my spending till I could afford a weekly training session (That means goodbye cable, hello dial up.)
This year I've lost 55 pounds and counting
I bought a bike and I'm integrating it into my daily life
I've gone down 2-3 clothing sizes (depending on the clothes)
I've gained some muscle and strength
I've started to learn to use free weights

I cannot believe this thread died.... Come on girls this is your chance to reflect on the good things you have done this past time period....
In the past year, I acknowledge myself for....
overcoming my fear of the gym and weights
overcoming my fear of getting fat through a very succesful bulk
overcoming my paradigms of cardio and its importance to my fitness
tracking almost perfectly down 1 lb a week throughout my first cut
overcoming my paradigms and fears about food and eating
empowering myself to be who I want to be through education and knowledge
continuing that education
making plans to share this same education

- lost 90.2lbs (just found out that I passed 90 when checking now)
- found a way of eating that I don't feel deprived doing
- returned to college
- discovered that I like lifting heavy weights
- have worked out in public (campus gym, local park)
and since January 5th of this year...
- have stuck to planned calorie levels - every day
- that despite the curveballs life has thrown mw way the past couple of months, I didn't take it out in terms of food. I've maintained within 5-7 lbs the weight I reached on my birthday.
- that I've learned to listen to my body and take the cues my body is giving me seriously.

*giving of myself tirelessly to my family
*sticking with my diet even when the scale wasn't moving much ... in the past I have quit
*cooking fresh meals from scratch using healthy ingredients that my family will love nearly every single night
*dealing with a lot of stress in the past year, and not crumbling like a sandcastle
*finally getting my health on track
*learning to listen to my body
*learning that it is okay to not exercise myself into the ground
Yada yada yada!!

Life's a Journey ... Enjoy the Ride!
Isn't it too cool? I was reading Julie's blog this morning. I haven't looked at it for awhile and I saw that she was making massive strides to meeting goal and (in fact) will soon be faced with what to do next steps. I thought then about how great this forum is. In the year (almost) since I have been here I have seen many of these ladies acheive amazing things. It is was inspirational to be amongst this group of ladies.

And you look JUST FANTASTIC, healthy and glowing and oh-so-strong in your new photo!
thanks ladies so kindly. I am at the bottom of my cut now and begining another bulk for the winter months. This year it is my goal to get another 4-7lbs of LBM on my frame. I can't wait until next summer to see if there is a difference!
