The Fat Loss TroubleshootThis is your place to troubleshoot your fat loss problems from nutrition to training. This section is led by Leigh Peele, author of "The Fat Loss Troubleshoot," the ultimate fat loss manual. If your results have slowed or stalled this is the place to come for advice for all your fat loss needs.
I found this site while looking for some answers about a plateau I hit. I am 5'10-214-39 yrs old and need to lose 20-30 more pounds. I am stuck! I have done everything I could think of and it isn't budging. I am frustrated because I wanted this to be the summer I hit the pools happy but it doesn't seem like it will be and I think focusing on that has left me here.
I found troubleshoot and it looks good but I don't know. I also found truth about abs and it seemed more specific or something.
I just want to get back on track and I don't have time to mess around
I originally joined this thread because I started "The New Rules of Lifting for Women". At the end of Stage 1 and no weight loss (I know, it's not a weight loss program) I decided to purchase Leigh's fat loss package which included "The Fat Loss Troubleshoot" and "The Metabolic Repair Manual". I can say that I am not disappointed. I decided to try her "OPT for Fat Loss" program that came with the package and I am consistenly losing weight, I am starting the 3rd week. If the OPT program didn't work I was planning on trying the Metabolic repair but I am happy with the results that I am getting right now. Now, these are not specific plans that tell you exactly what to eat at what time but if you are even remotely educated on good nutrition you shouldn't have a problem.
After losing more fat, I plan to go back to NROLFW.

As you can tell with every book I give a lot of bribes and promises of sexual favors.

If you analyze your statements they say a lot. My guess is that you were losing just eating lower calories and moving some and then you wanted more faster? Maybe started trying some different techniques and training programs, bouncing and switching it up by nada?
Keep it simple, go back to what you were doing, it was working. If that doesn't work again then just do it a little more (in movement, little less in eating) and take it from there.
In a way you posed a very simple question, with standard statements. So look towards a more simple fix.
Will that need to be made payable by bribe or sexual favor? Also if you buy within the next 12 mins and 23 secs for this one time only I will throw in a pair of Freudian Slippers.

Ok, dumb question of the day (yeah, no dumb questions, but this one might be) -- if I buy Leigh's e-book, what is the access to it? Can I see it on more than one computer, or is it a one-time download, or ??? How does this e-book purchase thing work? Thanks!!!

I'm sure she'll chime in but as far as I know you can only download it one time. You could probably e-mail the file to yourself and save it on another computer or save it to a disc, as long as you're not sharing it with someone else. Maybe she'll answer the question so that we will know for sure.
Thanks Angela - hopefully I can find out - I want to DL it, but if I do it at work (), I don't want to only be able to access it at work... not for sharing, but just want to know if I can have it at home too

Hey Bytsi,
It is just like any other file you would have on your computer that you could transfer. The downloads are just standard PDF downloads capable of being transfered or printed with ease.
If you have any problems you can contact me through the site or even this forum.
Question for you... I know I have hosed by metabolic rate though years of bad eating. I was doing the TNT (from Jan through Mar) Plan A eating and workout program, in April I started doing NROL Break-in and now fat loss I. Since April, my weight and body comp[ haven't moved.
I purchased both your books, but my question is which of your option (book) should I try?

Does anyone have any pre-workout protein bar recipes that fit into what leigh says you need pre workout.
I made the ones from NROLFW but they arent exactly the same for the macros.
I realize Leigh is busy so if anyone else has any suggestions whether I should try the Fat Loss options or the the Metabolic repair option, I would love to hear them

You could try taking the Metabolic Repair test? If you are a Level One, then you maybe just need the troubleshoot. If you are a Level Two-Four, try Metabolic Repair?

Here is what I always tell anyone who asks the questions "Which one first?"
I always say start with the troubleshoot. Most of the time the "Metabolic Damage" that people were dealing with was actually just those basic issues discussed in the Troubleshoot. If you apply all those methods, anyalze all that activity, weight all the food, etc and you still don't lose THEN it means that you need to give a refesh to your system. If THAT is the case then start the REPAIR program.
The good thing is the REPAIR program is so short and is so in tuned with restoring thyroid and leptin function that it doesn't hurt anything to go that route anyway. If you want to get the biggest head start and not waste anytime go ahead and start the REAPIR program and while doing that watch for all the issues that the troubleshoot helps you identify.
Then when done in 8 weeks you can do to METABURN if you had a issue before and still want to lose fat. I say to go there instead of a different program because chances are if you actually NEED that program (REPAIR) to start to lose the fat again it means you are in a more sensitive endocrine category ERGO you need a more specific training program.
As much as it is frustrating to realize most programs are not one size fits all.
So if sure it isn't the basic issues go to REPAIR.
If still trying to figure out "what is wrong" then start with Troubleshoot.
If not sure but want to get started on something that will work in either situation, start with REPAIR.

Hey Shari,
First thanks for supporting the book. As to your question there are two things I want to address.
1-What I talk about in the book is actually a shake. It can be made with protein and Gatorade, one of the cheapest and easiest of combos.
If looking for a bar here is a great natural bar you can pick up that is pretty close to what I would recommend for a bar pre-workout.
Fantastic ingredients and good ratios for pre workout.
2-Don't get to crazy with the macros and remember these are OPTIMUM recommendations. The most important thing is to just make sure you have some fuel in your system so you aren't running on empty. What i talk about in the book is just a way to optimize that fuel for pre-workout.
I bought both books today... can't wait to get reading and figure out what to do! I'm going to try the troubleshoot first, but I figured it couldn't hurt to read Repair too

Hey thanks!
I will not buy those bars bc of the price, I was looking for something I could make at home to save on the cash. However I looked at the ingrediants and I could probably come up with something we shall see.
