I will be finishing off a 20 week diet in the next few weeks here. Ive lost around 50lbs and overall its been very successful.

Diet started with about 2800cals/day on average (was calorie cycling).

now I am at 2200cals/day with 1 higher carb day at approx 3200cals. I am losing weight at approx 1% bodyweight a week which seems reasonable. I havn't really lost any strength so I am not too concerned with muscle loss.

My bodyweight right now is 205lbs and I suspect i will be right around 200lbs when i am satisfied with my leanness. After my high carb days my weight shoots up to 213-215ish currently.

I want to slowly transition into gaining weight again, and i'm not quite sure how to approach it. I imagine my metabolism is somewhat slowed from 20 weeks of dieting and i highly doubt I will like the results of eating 4000+ cals per day right out of the gate. What kind of rate sounds reasonable to add calories to get to 3000 (approx what i need to maintain) calories constantly again? Should I just bump it right up and deal with the initial weight gain? Or just add 200ish cals/week for say 5 weeks?

For anyone interested here is a link to it;Intermittent Fasting - Leangains

Has anyone had success with this sort of thing? No one seems to be able to say anything bad about it! I've been a lurker of this forum since the start of the year and it seems some 'big' names in the online fitness are associated with this guy. Especially his last article.

Would love some input on it as I'm looking to drop some weight but generally struggle on low calories.

A little background first...I have been doing NROL4W through stage one and am currently in my week off before beginning stage two. I began tracking my calories and weight daily when I started the program and managed to lose the last couple of pregnancy pounds right away. Even after getting back to what I figured my "ideal" weight is based on my height (I am 5'2" and all the charts I have ever seen say 115 is what an ideal healthy weight for that height is) I continued to track to ensure adequate protein intake. I started to feel like I was getting a little too obsessive with it, however, so I decided to step away from tracking and weighing for a while but consume a set meal plan to ensure I was still getting enough protein (with my set snacks and meals I consume over 125 grams a day easily and that does not include the post workout shake). I did this last week during the final week of stage one with the two bonus workout. This worked well and I did not think anything about it until last night. It was my anniversary so I went out to eat w/my husband and while I did not go crazy I did eat several things I normally don't (ice cream, buttered roll) though all in moderate quantities. This morning I wondered how much damage I did weight wise so I decided to step on the scale this morning. I only weighed 113.4 pounds!! I kind of freaked out as I am NOT the kind of person who believes you can never be too thin. But at the same time I can't say I look anorexic or any thing like that. You can see the muscle definition and I just look lean

So after all that here are my questions...how low is too low? Did I go too low and lost some of the muscle I worked so hard to build? Where do I go from here? I have a pretty petite build, could the "chart weight" of 115 actually be too high? I am so confused and am not sure if I should be thrilled at being so thin or run out and start eating chicken and tuna like there is no tomorrow - although if there really was no tomorrow chicken and tuna would NOT be my first meal choices :D

Any direction would be appreciated!

So, I just came off of RFL (as many on here have heard me whine about). Anyway, after being off of it for about 2 weeks, I had to go to the doctor today to get antibiotics for a sinus infection.

And found out I am anemic. I have been told I was 'borderline' anemic my whole life, and it's one of those things that keeps popping up.

But today the doctor was adamant that I wasn't borderline at all, but 'really' anemic.

I would think that a high protein diet would have provided me with a LOT of iron. Am I wrong?

Would the diet have had anything to do with it at all?
