I have been using ON's vanilla ice cream whey for the past couple of years, but I want to bite the bullet and try a more expensive, i.e. better, whey formula. What brands (preferably under $50) and flavors do you guys recommend?

i personally think that even though ON makes a relatively cheaper protein than some companies, its quality is nothing to be dissatisfied with, with the BCAA's already there, its convienent too. If you are changing just for a different taste, or for a more complex protein powder for times other then PWO (i.e not just whey) alot of people like GROW! over at t-nation-- Includes some vitamins too, id just suggest against the orange or anything, tastes kinda nasty to me. The choc. in milk or cold water can make for a nice treat, it taste 'richer'?.

I'm not gonna be much help here either. I've been using ON 100% natural whey for a couple years. I like the taste and the price so I figured why switch. A friend suggested American Whey to me...he said the taste was good but I haven't tried it myself yet.

I have been using ON “Gold Standard” for about 2 months now, I really like it, it completely dissolves, taste pretty good, and @ 110 calories and 24g of protein it’s does it’s job well.

I buy mine at CostCo. It's called Pure Protein. Come is chocolate and vanilla and is a mixture of whey, casein, and other proteins. It now comes in a 6 lb bag for $25. 72 servings of 28g P each. About 140 calories per scoop.
