I recent saw reference by a trainer to "getting what you pay for" when it comes to supplements, such as protein. I know that with whey, for instance, some brands have 19g of protein per, say, 25 gram serving, while another will have 22g per 25 gram serving. So, there is obviously some difference in processing, filler, or whatever.

But, what are the real differeneces in protein quality? Why isn't 20g of whey 20g of whey? What more does one get when they pay more?

Does anyone have any handy info/links about this matter?

I'm curious, as well.

However, many more expensive protein powders have proteins other than whey (casien, milk protein concentrate, milk protein isolate, etc.). Those things are supposed to be "better" than any of the whey variations.

How much better? I don't know.

Does it really matter? I don't know.

Yea definetly informational, but a bit distracting to have huge flashing ads for buying anibolic steroids online.

This isn't really an article but the site does explain the different types of proteins available, their relative quality as well as taste and tollerability.

True Protein

I know its the shopping cart, but just click on the type of protein for a quick description. BTW - I have nothing to do with the site...
