Does anyone ever feel nauseous after drinking Muscle Milk? If I do 2 scoops in milk...I feel a little nauseous for about an hour afterwards, but then it goes away. I'm fine on one scoop though. I usually drink it near bedtime. Wondering if eating something with it will help.

I do sometimes as well. My stomach seems to cramp up a bit. Seems to be when I make it with milk as well. Not when I make it with water. May have something to do with the fact that when you make it with milk, that's a awful lot of protein in only 12 oz of liquid. I don't know, just a thought.

I know you've mentioned the Root Beer being good, have you tried any other flavors? I've tried the Chocolate Peanut Butter which is pretty tasty especially with some natural peanut butter thrown in.

TG- Ive never been a big fan of MM...alot of people say it taste real good..I think its kinda chalky myself, plus the fat count (even though its mct's) is controversial by many. I prefer (especially before bed) a micellar casein protein...low carb grow, even though many dont care for t-nation products, taste really good and is pretty well priced for that type of protein. Another one Ive been getting is made by Irontek (not the normal micellar protein by them) that says Natural or something on it..its a combo of micellar casein and whey and taste real good, the cost is only $16 in the local store I go to. Plus, casein protein is real good before bed as its slow absorbing.

Not sure if I answered your question, but if MM is making you nauseous, it may be worth switching to something different.

I always did half milk, half water. Good flavor, consistency, no nausea. I normally drank it n hour or two before the workout too, sometimes before bed though.

Thanks guys. I may try those other things you suggested Raymond...once I'm done my MM.

Ted, I just tried the Orange Cream...it is very good. I'll try it with water or half milk/half water tonight and see what happens.

I used to take a heaping spoonful of Vanilla MM, mix it with milk, and pour it on my cereal. That gave me a bit of a stomach problem

I find MM too expensive for what it is. Protein Powder + psyllium powder + a few TSP of oil(Flax,MCT,Olive) and you get the same thing for a quarter of the price though I admit not nearly as tasty.

Yeah, I've had similar difficulties. After the first couple of times, I went with water only. I haven't used it in over a year. The Muscle Milk N' Oats sits fine in my stomach though.

Before bed I still go with CC, sometimes with blueberries. Casein drinks are great but I hate when I get woken up at 3am to pee.

I can’t ever remember getting nauseous from MM, although I have heard mixed things about the amount of fat in it. This was an issue for me b/c I hated the taste of regular vanilla whey protein from other makers. I started doing some research and came across Optimum’s ON whey, I went with strawberry and all I can say is WOW, this stuff dissolves better than any other I have tried and the taste is actually kind of good. As stated in another post, I also have noticed a difference in hardness since starting with ON, if MM is giving you issues and you looking for something good, try giving this stuff a shot.
