Diet, Nutrition and SupplementationPost here for supplement reviews or nutritional advice. If you're trying to get "ripped abz" THIS is where you should be.
It's never a bad idea to follow a healthy diet, regardless of your fitness level. And there is nothing about Adam's diet that will affect a muscle strain either way.

So, what does a diet have to do with being injured?
Nothing directly, its just my impression that low carb diets generally seem to be predicated on a reasonable volume of excercise for the duration of the diet.
I guess my question is, is that predication because of some fundamental physiological response which means the diet is contra-indicated if you can't exercise, or is it simply the common sense principle that there is little point in following a diet if it is not accompanied by exercise?
First, I don't see anything stated in Adam's diet about exercise.
Second, there are plenty of carbs in the diet plan. Carbs are necessary when you exercise. Adam's plan times your carbs so you have them at the right time.
Third, your diet is what you eat. Period. It can be low carb, high fat, high protein, all bagels and M&M's. You still need to eat, whether you are execising or not.
Fourth, Adam's plan was written up for JP. JP was looking for a plan to lose body fat. Is that your goal?
The only thing you can change in Adam's plan is the pre and post workout drinks. Since you will not be working out substitute something else for that time.

The diet's fine. In theory, Adam's Diet works so that you eat as much as you need by "self-regulating." Again, in theory, since you'll be less active your appetite will be lowered, as well.
What's with all the strains? Do you have some condition or is it just bad luck?
