Does anyone have the book? If so, do you keep to the rule where you keep the whole grains and other carbs for PW only? Also, if you do, do you feel there is a diffence from when you were eating carbs preWO?

Hi Terrance,
If you look at some of the recipes with legumes, they can be eaten anytime. So you can eat a carb-heavy meal with lentils or chick peas, for example, anytime you want.
As far as the recommendations, I think they work great

Has anyone tried any of the recipes? Which ones did you like? I went and got teh stuff to make the kungpao chicken, butternut squash casserole, chicken and apple bake, and the tuna burgers.

Make the chili. It's easy and damn good. Plus you'll be eating it for a week. Or two.

I know when they were talking about the Chille recipe that had cashew meal in it, that is what Johnka said the cashew meal was. Maybe Johnka will chime in but I'm sure that is what they are refering to.

Steelerfan is right - nut meal is just nuts chopped up in a blender. I like to blend them into a fine powder, but be careful that you don't leave the blender on too long (it becomes butter).
I have seen pecan meal in Central Market though. But it's real easy to make in a blender.
