We have these lipton tea bags in the office, but it's black tea.
Does green tea just have more antioxidants than black tea or are there more benefits? I have green tea at home but if black and green are very similar than there's no need to bring them in the office.

I forget where I read this, but both green and black tea are healthy and offer their own unique health benfits. Bottom line; drink them both.

I think they are both good. A combination of the two is fine. I drink decaf as well, which offers slightly less antioxidants, but not by much

According to sites like www.inpursuitoftea.com, the less processed a tea leaf is, the more polyphenols (the good stuff) it will have. White tea is the least processed and has the highest polyphenol content. Geen tea is a bit more processed, and oolong and black tea are steamed the most and the oxidation causes them to lose some of their polyphenol content. What does all of this mean? Tea is going to be good for you, in general, in moderation. The question is one of maximizing your intake of 'the good stuff' or not and whether or not maximizing will produce any beneficial results. I personally haven't run across a site or study that answers that (I have looked).

For me, black tea can bother my stomach a bit (I think it has to do with acidity levels) whereas green and white tea, which I alternate consumption of, don't bother it at all. I also really like the lightness and lack of bitterness (even when overbrewed) with white teas.

FWIW....
