4 years ago i had back surgery. i went from 225 lbs to 275 lbs. i'm 6ft 3in tall, large frame. i'm not fat (38 inch waist) or maybe i am? i'm thick all over, thick thighs, 46 inch chest. my question is cardio and/or weights. i have tried all combinations and my weight seems to increase. right now i do 60 minutes on a treadmill (5 miles) 4 times a week with some light weights. i have tried every diet known to mankind and still no change.i estimate 2500 calories a day intake. some days more some days less. my goal is to be leaner with some definition. dont want mass? any help would be greatly appreciated

Look into Adam's Diet, it's outline in the two "stickies" at the top of the Diet & Nutrition board.

I've went from 198 to 185 in less than 2.5 weeks, and I've been eating all i want. (All the cheese, eggs, meat, and veggies anyway )

If you FOLLOW the diet it is impossible not to be successful.

I recommend lifting as well, putting on some muscle might make you gain a little weight at first, but in the long run the added muscle will help you lose fat at a faster pace.

Take my advise lightly as I am in no means an expert, I'm just repeating what I've heard said on these forums many times
