I'm not sure how sushi is prepared...aka what is the fish soaked in or whatever prior to being served.

Would sushi fit the below guideline?
2. Eat as much lean meat as you want: 90 percent lean beef, turkey, chicken, tuna, salmon (any kind of fish/seafood really). (You can eat bacon, ham, and fattier meat, too, but just for the sake of being politically correct, limit these to one to two servings a day.) Use low-carb marinades and rubs to add variety to things like chicken and beef.

As long as you avoid the rice, then yes.

Ack!!
So I went to this sushi place today and I started off good with a few sashimis(sushi without rice). Then I couldn't help it!! Before I realized, I had a couple of rolls and about 10 sushis worth...rice and everything.
How bad is that for one day? I didn't have oatmeal in the morning, but I know the rice they use is not as good as brown rice.
Also, I had the wasabi and ginger. Is that bad for the diet too?
I know this will definately be my bad meal of the week, but someone make me feel a bit better about this meal!

Yes, white rice can never hold a candle to brown rice because its so bad for you.

Also, you didnt eat oatmeal? What were you thinking? Dont you know rice is a "bad" carb, as in it will go into your body and make you fatter despite the fact that the body only sees glucose when you eat something?

Im sorry, but you messed up royally. This one meal has totally thrown off your cutting cycle and you will never be able to reach your goals now. You knew the guidlines for adam's diet and you broke them, there are no second chances. You are now forever destined to be fat and weak. It happens when you dont pay attention every single minute and irrelevant detail of your nutrition.

No its true, once you break the rules of Adam's diet once, youve screwed your cutting for life.

Are you talking about 10 little sushi slices with rice in it?? I wouldn't sweat it -- how much rice could there be in ten pieces of sushi?? And the ginger and wasabi is not a concern at all (I love that stuff - the only reason I ever eat sushi is for the ginger and wasabi - LOL).

If this is your bad meal of the week while dieting, you are way ahead of the game. A bad meal would be, say, an entire container of Ben and Jerry's or 6 slices of pizza!

If you want to know the 'rules' of Adam's diet, JP answered your question. If you want to know...did I royally F up my diet?, the answer is no. Don't freak out about the eating rice.

Just don't ever let it happen again (That's a joke btw)

I always keep the barf bags from airplanes, so when I screw up and eat white rice, I can have a convenient dispenser handy for the 72 hours of bulemic punishment that follow. It's totally worth it, too. Or if I'm lucky and I happen to be carrying one at the time of my transgression, I can just barf it all right back up and not feel guilty at all.
