I'm on it now. It WORKS. Of course all you're doing is eating. Check out my training log if you want some feedback based on my routine and eating schedule.
Anyone that doesnt gain weight with JB's plan is doing something wrong. Guaranteed. I would suggest that you check out the Massive Eating RELOADED though. It takes things another step further. Nutrient timing, protien/carb/fat pairings, etc.
I've been on it ... well, I'm about mid way through my 4th week and I've gained 7.5 lbs so far with another weighing coming this weekend.
Good luck.

BB, you should know that loosing fat while gaining 7+ lbs of muscle is virtually impossible for the "unaided".
That being said ME is one of the best diets for minimizing fat gains when bulking but they will never be avoided.

I'm getting a little more bf than I'm normally comfortable with but that is completely to be expected while bulking which is what I'm doing. I can't see that MER would be for cutting.... but if you can do it, I wish you nothing but the best. Let us all know of your progress.
Good luck!

I've seen posts from people who've lost fat while putting on muscle with ME, but it's been those who found JUST the right amount of food. They also didn't put on a ton of muscle at the same time, although they did still gain SOME muscle.
In ME reloaded, there's a flowchart to determine when to add/reduce calories. If you're patient and really follow the "rules," you might get there.
Although there are only 4 ME articles, there are a couple of others that are important to read with them: Lean Eatin' I & II and The Science of Nutrient Timing I & II are important, as well.
In addition, Berardi wrote that people who used ME but only ate P+C meals as the two to three meals after a workout sometimes lost fat while gaining muscle. Appetite For Construction

I modeled my diet around the massive eating and nutrient timing articles and had good results. During my last bulking phase I went from 179 lbs and ~14% body fat to 204 lbs and ~13% body fat in about 5-6 months. I had to play with the amounts and timing a bit to get it right. Basically, I ate pretty much non-stop from after my 5:00 workout until when I went to sleep. I listed the foods I ate in another post.
I just recently started bulking again after taking it easy for a couple weeks. I’m already up a few pounds, and will post my results after I put on about another 25lbs total. I certainly wouldn’t call it cheap though. To do it right with that much clean fresh food has definitely been expensive.

I forgot to post this.
I did ME a while back, along with Craig's TT for Mass. I did great! However, I did put on some fat. I went from 16 to 17 percent body fat and went from 165 to 185 lbs in 12 weeks.
I was in a hurry, and, for some dumb reason, felt that I had to do it all in 12 weeks (that being the length of the workout program). Next time, patience will be in order...
Were I to do it again, I would have used some of the info that I posted above. I would have toned down the calories (I was about 4400 or more, per day!) and timed things more so that I ate a lot of my calories in the 3-5 hours PWO and ate far less (and mostly P+F meals) on off days and before workouts.
Also, TT for Mass is a lot of fun! Craig's even given it a great revamping, recently, making it even better. I'm looking forward to doing the new version someday!
