Some friends were talking about this while we were eating so I decided to look some information up. So please forgive me if this is an old fad or whatever.

Some say this is a way to lose weight because you use up more calories digesting say...celery then you take in by eating it, but you also don't have any "positive" calories to expend when recovering/working out, therefor you lose muscle mass etc etc.

And then there are some that rave about it.

I'm only wanting to drop a few pounds most likley, so would this diet/fad be for me?

Thanks.

The only food I found listed as a "negative calorie food" was celery...not much to go on there...seems you have to buy something in order to even learn what they are talking about.

Sounds like a scam to me. Just my humble opinion.

Take a look at Adam's diet at the top of the page. Many here swear by it.

The 'negative calories' from celery are virtually negligible. Take a 10 min walk, you will probably burn 2x more calories then you would get from the digestion of celery.
