Okay, so I just bought a bottle of Flaxseed Oil 1000mg (Vitamin World Brand)

The suggested serving is 1 softgel, 2x/day with a meal.

Is this a good dose for me, or would I need more than the recommended dosage due to consistent resistance training? (ex: 4x/week)

Before I switched to Fish oil I took two capsules or 2 g a day. That's just me though. With the fish oil I also take 2 g a day/2 capsules. But then I eat a can of tuna a day also.

gymrat, most tuna now adays is extremely low in EFA's. Especially if it is light tuna. I would definitly up your dosage on the fish oil aswell. IMHO 6 capsules of your average brand a day is a better bet.

Yes Anubis, fish oil is better then flaxseed.

Was there a reason you choose the pills over the liquid? I bought the liquid from vitamin world and like it because I can put it in my protein shakes.

CAchief,

I chose the pill for convenience. If it's essential to have in a Protein shake the pill would be just as easy to down with the shake.

By the way, how's your shoulder coming along?

Hey man, sorry I got back to you so late. When yoyu wrote that it was terrible. Now, over a month later, it's a lot better. I can do arm circles, rotator cuff work, light push ups, I IDK when I will be 100% though. Hopefully soon. Thanks for asking.
