I'm looking for a protein supplement that is not too expensive but still good quality, i dont really care too much about taste. I've always thought that doing it the natural way was good but because of my schedule i have no time to go and make a balanced/ high protein lunch everyday and take it to the gym to eat there. So my friend recommended the GNC Pro Performance 100% Whey that i think costs 30 bucks for 1363 grams or something, which my friend said has lasted him a month now with a little more left over.

Also- I'm cutting right now so i was wondering if i needed a different kind of supplement- maybe one that has less carbs and calories then a normal one or should i still be taking the same kind as anyone else?

Best bet would be dynamitize protein. It is dirt cheap and tastes amazing. Butter Cream Toffee is one of the best proteins I have ever tasted. Cafe Mocha and banana were also both good.

Our local Sam's Club has an EAS AdvantEdge Whey Protein 6 pound can for 19.99. Vanilla and Chocolate flavors are the only ones they carry.

CostCo has a similar protein powder. Pure Protein Bavarian Chocolate or Alpine Vanilla. 6lbs for 19.99.

The chocolate tastes pretty good. You have to really shake it to mix, but still good. If you make it a little more condensed (6oz water instead of 8-12oz), then warm it, it's makes a tasty "hot cocoa."

The vanilla is good as long as you add other stuff to it. Not so good by itself. But, I don't think ANY vanilla powders taste good by themselves. I use it in oatmeal, yogurt, mixed into a milk substitute for cereal, to fortify pumpkin pie filling/custard, etc. It's also good in PWO drinks when mixed with gatorade. For a drink by itself, I mix in some Crystal Light powder.
