I am getting ready to attend a cross country camp, and I want to be all around physically fit for it. I could lose about 15 lbs to achieve this. Right now I am 135lbs- is is possible to be at 120 in 5 weeks? How would I diet? How much exercise do I need? Any help would be appreciated.

How tall are you? Cause 120 seems incredibly small..

unless you're 3'5...probibly not. 1-2lbs is the maximum you'd ever want to lose a week unless you're VERY overweight.

You want to aim to lose 1-1.5lbs per week. Anything less and you will be forced to starve yourself which is very unhealthy and will leave you without any energy for athletics. Even at this rate, you are bound to lose some muscle mass, besides losing fat too. Crash dieting is stupid is so many other respects as well. Just lose the weight slowly ans steadilty.

I'd rather work on getting my body in shape to handle the demands of the season than focus on a dramtic weight loss. There are better places to spend your time.
