Anyone used the protein powder from T-Nation?

I'm tempted to try the low carb "grow" I think its called?

Wanted to get people's opinions...

it is some of the best tasting protein I have ever had. Is it worth the cost? That is more up to you to decide

IMO, it's all about whether or not you're willing to pay for it. i've heard nothing but good things about it for the most part-it's just the price that drives me away-for me, spending $23.99 for 6lbs of whey is a better deal than spending the same amount of $ for 2lbs of grow. but, i've heard great things about it-if ur willing to pay for it-go ahead!

I'm a regular reader of T-Nation, so I figured for all the bandwidth I consume, and all the reading i've done over there, the least I can do is order some protein or something from their store.

NewMike- Im taking it now..taste pretty good..the best thing I like about it, is that it leaves me feeling full. I take it before bed because of the casein, (cant stand cottage cheese) and it makes me feel more full than whey.

I agree. It is good stuff and damn tasty. Compare the price to other micellar casein proteins and not whey protein. You'll see it is actually reasonably priced.

Mix the chocolate flavor with some cottage cheese and peanut butter for a before bed snack. Yum!

So Grow is a casien-whey mix?

Also, has anyone tried the banana cream or orange cream flavors? They sound pretty tasty.

Rip:

straight from the StB supplement recommendation:

"Low Carb Grow is a milk protein blend (a combination of whey protein, casein protein, and isolated, unseparated milk protein)"

Dude, Low Carb Grow! is freaking awesome. by far the best protein supplement I've tasted. I do wish they sold it in larger quantities but I just don't think you can beat the taste. Lately when I run out of it, I have a hard time sucking down anything else in my back up stash.

Based on all that I hear about Grow!, I vow never to try it!

I can't afford Grow! and don't want to know how bad the other stuff tastes, by comparison.

Just got my new tub of chocolate Grow!...I went two nights on some whey I borrowed from my brother..and my stomach was growling..cant wait to have the usual tonight. They sent me a Grow! protein bar in the box..came in pretty handy as I was on the run today...I like t-nation, alot of peeps talk ish about them..but I think their products are pretty good (quality and price) and the one thing I had to return (Spike) they took it back and refunded my money with no problem..Im taking Carbolin 19 now, to see how that works.

Funny Stuff Lost Dog. Based on what I've heard people say about the particular type of protein you're getting in the Grow! it's supposedly reasonably priced. I'll pay a little extra for the good taste. To me it's worth it. I'm doing the Velocity Diet (outlined on T-nation) so it pays for me to get the best tasting protein available cause that's all I'm consuming. Plus I break even or maybe make out a little better by not eating out during the day or evenings.

Oh definately. If I was relying on protein powder, like you are with the v diet, I'd "risk" the taste of Grow.

Good point about the cost savings. Food's expensive compared to the P you get in protein powder.

The only thing that sucks is the shipping...the cost for a 2lb container is only $23...I pay $16 for ON, so thats only another $7, but then with shipping, you are looking at $29-30, but I think its worth it...I will probably buy this kind of protein anyways, from here on out.

I think some of the cheaper whey isolates taste just as good as grow, just gotta stop sticking w/ ON.

Protein Customizer or Trueprotein + BSL flavorings is nearly as tasty too but @ half the cost.

True, but honestly, I dont take Grow! for the taste, but for the fullness at night and the benefits of casein protein.

ok well milk protein isolate has more casein and costs 1/4 as much. Throw in BSL flavoring and it tastes damn near as good.

Grow! is around 50-60% miccelar casein while MPI is 80%.

Got you...so MPI is basically the same thing as Grow!..in that it has micellar casein?

Is MPI available in stores, or do you need to order it? Like I said, I dont drink it for the taste, I know others say the test is real good, I think its okay.
