Diet, Nutrition and SupplementationPost here for supplement reviews or nutritional advice. If you're trying to get "ripped abz" THIS is where you should be.
It is ok to take low carb grow once a day as an MRP when on Adam's Diet, and also for thoes of you who have tried it, does it tast good in water? I plan on getting the chocolate.
It's okay to use it if it's filling for you. I can't, as I'm hungry again within minutes of drinking a protein drink, but you may find them filling.
The key to Adam's Diet is to eat low carb and fiber rich foods that are filling and satisfying to you. You can pick and choose and change foods in and out over time as you find things that work well.

I'm with LD on this one. I wouldn't use a shake as an MRP unless I had to. This diet works best when you are filling up (operative word) on all of those tasty fiber rich, low carb foods.
When I first started dieting, I tried some liquid foods, but soon gave them up. They would never "stick with me" for long enough to be worth it.
The only times I ever have liquid foods is workout drinks and just before bed.
Other things that I've (almost) given up are protein bars. Best case, I'm hungry again in an hour or less. Worst case, it's like I just ate candy and NEED TO HAVE MORE! I used to keep one in my laptop bag, just in case I'm with a client and need food, but now that it's getting warmer, they get all melted and gooey.
I look at many foods for their nutritional value compared to their long term satisfaction level. Jerky and a few nuts is far more satisfying than the same calories worth of protein bar, despite the great taste of the bar. Same thing with drinks. Although, they may be really good tasting, they fail, in my book, if I need to eat again before it should be time.
