Sorry guys, I know the PWO thing gets asked a lot around here. I already have my basic mixture set, but the only whey protein I can find in the area is flavored.
Do they make unflavored whey protein? And assuming they don't, and I plan on mixing it with lemon-lime (yellow) gatorade, what would be the best flavor of protein powder to blend it with?

I can never find orange gatorade powder...
I think vanilla whey with fruit punch flavor is the best. I just don't like the little pink stains on my workout towels, etc. (random drips and splashes and leaks in my workout bag, I guess).
I'm currently polishing off the biggest, baddest tub of lemon-lime flavor gatorade that you've ever seen. It tastes pretty good with the vanilla.

So regardless of the gatorade flavor, it looks like vanilla is the flavor to go for the protein! Thanks guys!

Rev... I was actually thinking that strawberry would go better with gatorade myself. I mean, combine like flavors, no?
If your gatorade is fruity, wouldn't you want a fruity protein poweder

I only buy vanilla and it mixes with about any flavor gatoraide you can think of. But you can buy unflavored stuff if you want to order online.

I use chocolate and lemon-lime. Everyone that's tasted it thought it was gross, but I like it.

I now use Orange citrus whey protien...mixes perfect with orange gatorade of course.
With the summer comming I wanted to get away from the thickness of chocolate and vanilla for a while

Wow... overwhelmingly vanilla...
Auxillary question: Do the tubs of gatorade list the carbohydrate content? and if not, how do i find out?

I'm thinking of using chocolate whey and maltodextin next time. Recently, I forgot to pack my PWO mix and had to purchase something in a pinch. It seemed far more filling than my vanilla and gatorade, so I wasn't desperate for food 30 minutes after the workout.

Nature's Best Isopure makes an unflavored protein. NB protein is more expensive but it's a purer form and has a great variety. The Orange takes some getting used to. Checkout bodybuilding.com.

When whey is isolated from milk, it is chocolate flavoured.
It has taken a long number of years to be able to remove those chocolate flavours, and allow the incorporation of alternative flavours.

Isn't that just from the brown cows?

I never found one I liked, I can say for sure that combining orange Gatorade + chocolate whey doesn't work
I now use unflavored whey (true protein) + flavor (true protein) + dextrose
