I'm being dragged to one of these all you can eat salad restaurants tonight, and i was curious how i could possibly get enough protein with my meal.

Any suggestions/ Strategies for these places?

I know the obvious (avoid desserts, high glycemic stuff, etc) but i'm talking strictly protein here

Thanks!

Most salad bars should have eggs, cottage cheese, and garbanzo beans...all full of protein. Obviously if they have any meat or fish that isnt drenched in oil and sauce get that too. Also, be careful of what dressing you use. Opt for oilve oil and vinegar and use sparingly.

Souplantation has good chili.

I usually fill up on veggies, maybe some chili, and I take some of the chicken from the Big Chunk Chicken Noodle Soup to add to my salad or eat on the side. It's all white meat. Just avoid all the noodles.

The above link has all there is to know about the place. Unfortunately, you won't know what they've got tonight, soup-wise until you get there and check it out. The ALWAYS have the chili and chicken soup, though. It's the other soups that change.

The tortilla soup is really good, just don't add the strips and you're good to go. They don't always have it, though.
