Well, I've done a light but effective amount of reading based on the guidence of these boards, and I've learned that a good nutrient plan for me is 15%carb, 25%fat, 60%protein. I can work with that easily enough. Just no bread, lots of fish, and some peanuts .

However, one guideline I know I am going to have difficulty with is the eating every two hours, at 5-8 meals a day. For me, it will be a consistent 6 meals a day, start at eight, don't eat after six.

Does anyone have any suggestions or cool tricks on how to eat the proper meals every two hours? I have considered fixing one large meal the night before, and dividing that equally into six portions, and carrying around a lunch box and eating one sixth of the thing all day. Kind of boring but could be the only effective option I can come up with. If you guys have tricks, hook me up please!!!!

You nailed one of the main tricks on the head: preparing ahead of time. Cooking large amounts of proper foods and then dividing it throughout the day/week makes things much easier.

One trick: make your own "trail mix" (almonds, walnuts and beef jerky). Carry that in separate baggies or one big cannister.
Another: Fill a large water jug, and add 50-60g of whey and or casein protein powder. Sip on it throughout the day.

To lose or maintain your weight, it is ideal to have six small meals a day. I eat ALL the time and that gives me a boost of energy all day long and keeps me full so i wouldn't overeat the next meal.
Peices of fruit, carrots, (if you are craving for something crunchy), a cup of Yoplait, celery and apple sticks with 2tblspoon of peanut butter, a nut mix, a handful of whole-grain cereal such as Total, and a berry flavored water keeps me satisfied all day long. And for most of the sixth meal, I try to cook up a little bit of fish with spinach salad to boost up my protein

Eat 2-3 hours apart. You can spread it out to 3 hours if you need to.

Also, why don't you eat after 6:00? If you are going to bed near that time, fine, but if you are up until 9 or 10, then you should eat again. Many of us even eat a small protein snack immediately before bed. I have 1/2 cup of cottage cheese every night before I brush teeth.

Remember that calories does not connect at what time you eat (I know a lot of people who fear eating after 8:00) but how much and what it is that you are eating.
And as many of you should know, people tend to not eat after 8 because the calories you have taken in does not burn off as much as in the daytime. In the daytime, most of us are active so the calories can burn into energy. But at the night time, it is mostly sitting around and doing desk work or watching TV.
I eat two kiwis sliced at 8:30 and do cardio sessions at 9pm. After the cardio I drink 1/4 cup of calcium and vitamin D fortified orange juice.
Also, not eating after 6:00 will most likely turn into a night eating disorder. You will wake up hungry in the middle of the night and raid your fridge. It is best to eat a little snack or portions of a meal to avoid the habit.

Chops, I understand what you're going through. Thats the best option, to make it the night before. Like everyone else said, eat every couple of hours. I have to make everything the night before. I'm up at 4:30, so breakfast has to be quick and simple, and I'm usually busy until around 9 pm. I haven't really counted how many meals I have, I just eat healthy every couple of hours. Good luck
