So I have been making some delicious smoothies lately with frozen fruits. This way the fruit won't spoil and I don't have to add ice because the fruit will act like ice if it is frozen. Are there any drawbacks to frozen fruits vs. fresh fruits like preservatives of any other bad stuff in the frozen fruits. Taste great though.

Thanks

No, in fact, it's likely that the frozen fruit will have fewer things like preservatives, wax, etc.

They are also likely to be fresher and contain more nutrients, vitamins, antioxidants, etc.

Frozen fruits and vegetables are often processed within a few hours of harvest and don't sit in a truck and/or store until you buy them.

I love frozen fruit. This may sound strange but I buy fresh fruit, wash it, put the fruit in zip-locks bags and freeze it. For for some reason, when fruit is frozen the flavor is stronger.
