I'm now back at college, and on a fixed meal plan of 3-a-day, as well as living in a dorm, which makes "home cooking" difficult, and costly (poor college student). The dining hall has a decent selection of fruits and vegetables and some lean proteins, like chicken and eggs. They also have e-v olive oil available, a recent positive find for me.
Where I've been running into trouble, however, is with getting good carbs. Aside from french fries & other fried potato products, white bread & rice, pasta and cereals, the options are slim. They do offer "wheat" bread, english muffins and wraps, but as to whether they're whole wheat no one there can tell me, and from their homogenous look I'm pretty sure they're not very wholesome. Will it hurt my diet significantly to eat sandwiches made with this bread? (the only carb heavy meal I eat in the dining hall is lunch, which is at the end of the PWO window) Any and all ideas are definitely welcome.
