Breakstone's Lowfat cottage cheese

and Borden's Lowfat (no picture)

Both of these are great tasting, with a tolerable texture, imo. Very little of the bitter whey taste that make many of the other brands inedible.

I concur. Breakstones Lowfat (2%) and Small Curd is very, very good.

On a side note, I HATED cottage cheese for the fist few weeks but sucked it down anyway. Now I have come to love it.

I don't understand what everyone has against cottage cheese. Maybe this is just because I was being fed it since I was little, but I like it. There are some brands that make me want to scream in disgust and throw it away, but I found one that I like. It's called Nordica and it's 1%. I can only eat the 2cup sizes though, any bigger and it gets weird tasting, I still haven't figured out why. I don't know where it is available, but if you can find it I suggest trying it out.
On a side note, Fish that story is hilarious. When can we expect to see the sequel?

Breakstone's and light in lively are by far the two best cottage cheese brands. However, I prefer getting low-sodium cottage cheese so I buy Friendships's no salt 1% cottage cheese. It has 45mg of salt, 16g of protein, and 4g carbs per 1/2 cup.

But I know what some people are talking about when they say cottage cheese taste like a$$. Some brands I have tried are awful! And that's coming from someone who eats at least 1cup of curd a day

I've found the low salt cottage cheese--when i can find it, which isn't easy--truly dreadful. But it's worth it to avoid the TONS of salt in the regular stuff.

I couldn't eat the 2% before until I found Breakstone's. I could only tolerate the 4% cottage chesse. I will have to give Bordens a try also.
Thanks Johnka

That low sodium cottage cheese is awful.

I've never watched my sodium intake and continue to have blood pressure in the healthy range (107/55).

I eat at least two cups of normal cottage cheese a day. That's a lot of sodium!

Ok, I can honestly say that I agree with one part of your previous post Fish--- the part about cc being from Hades! I've tried it on a few occasions, I get about to the second spoonful and I just want to hurl. No kidding. I might not've tried the right combos, but, I can say with all honesty, I tried and that stuff is gross. LOL

It's not that I was ever against cottage cheese, it's just that I have never eaten any... and in my mind I had evisioned cottage cheese as being basically rotten milk because of the way it looked. I recently started eating it though and I think I can acquire the taste.
