Yeah, TAP is a great book.
Also, the Book of Muscle has great workouts and tons of detail on virtually every lift you can think of. It's got solid nutritional advice, just without the background info that TAP has.
I did read The Abs Diet when it first came out, but I returned it. The workout was way too basic and the diet, while sound, was filled with gimmicky little names and silly acronyms that were stretched and contrived until they spelled what they wanted to spell.
Basically, it advocates a TAP or clean eating style of diet, but with all sorts of extra little gimmicks to make you feel special.
Your money is better spent on other books, like TAP, Book of Muscle, or Adam and Bill's new book, "The Muscle Prescription" (available at musclestuff.com).
Plus, my wife said The Abs Diet was just too orange to keep on a shelf where it could be seen, as your eye is CONSTANTLY drawn to it, as if it were a HUGE zit on someone's face. You don't want to look, but you do.
