Are you kidding about the "sweets and stuff"?

Drop the Yoohoo, the Snapples and the "chocolate and sweets and stuff".

Replace that with water, coffee, green tea, oatmeal, walnuts and almonds.

Do a search on the Diet and Nutrition forum too, there is a lot of info there. I'd also suggest checking out the Adam's Diet thread for some principles.

But it should be kind of common sense to realize that you can't pig out on "sweets and stuff" and expect to lose weight.

Check out www.johnberardi.com also, good advice there. You have a lot of reading ahead of you...

Stick to skim or 1%. It does have carbs, so keep it to 2-3 cups a day.

You're 15, so you're still growing. Don't think about it as dieting, but if you want to improve your diet to get leaner and stronger, this is a good place to do some reading. Also, as Happy said, books like the Abs Diet are good places for info.

What are your stats; height, weight, bf% (if you've measured it)? Do you weight lift, or just run?

Simple ways to improve would be to drop the yoohoo and eat some eggs in the morning, and some oatmeal if you can. In fact cut back on anything you drink during the day other than water and lowfat or fat free milk (like Snapple... try whole fruit instead), and increase the amount of water you drink. Cut the sweets as well wherever possible, especially later in the day (afterschool). Eat more fruits and vegetables whenever possible. And eat more protein; RipStone listed some good sources.

Like I said before, don't think about it as "dieting," it's better to consider generally improving your diet, it'll give you longer-lasting benefits.
