I was just trying to get a feal for the carbohydrate intake of the people from jpfitness. A lot of people seem to be suggesting pretty low carbs now a days regardless of goals.

I personally consume around 1.5grams/lb of lbm.

Same here. About 1.2 - 1.5 grams/lb of lbm, regardless the goal. Although when on a fat loss plan, I tend to take in more of my carbs from veggies and low GI fruits. I might go low-carb (100-150 grams or so) for a couple of weeks to drop those last few lbs of body fat. All of my carbs coming from veggies and fruits with the exception of my pre/workout/post workout shake. I'm more about timing my carbs and choosing the best sources rather than eliminating them all together or significantly lowering them.

I remember back in the old days when i started to work out, a personal trainer who was working with me strongly recommended 0.8g/pound to effectively 'gain muscle'. Yeah very successful, if my goal was to look like Starvin Marvin.

After trial and error i found that I achieved the best results with about 400g per day depending upon the amount of cardio performed. Mainly just oatmeal, veggies, fruits, cape seed bread etc.
