It's great in a stew. Sautee the venison chunks in olive oil, then add them to a crock pot when the outside is brown and the inside is raw. Add red wine, beef broth, and assorted veggies and simmer for a few hours.

I've got a great recipe for venison stew coming out in the book

Women gotta be loving you in the kitchen John. I guess a 6%BF and a 400lb deadlift also help.

I do a similar stew with deer meat, only I mix in mexicorn, Ro*tel, and sometimes pinto beans as well. Cook up a little cornbread to go with it, and you got yourself a mighty fine feast that should last you several days

Mix ground venison with some regular hamburger for a healthier burger with a slightly different taster. Ground venison by itself is generally a bit too lean as well as strong tasting to just make burgers out of it by itself.

You can also just grill up venison steaks on the grill. You are gonna wanna let the steaks soak in a vinegar and water solution overnight or atleast a few hours before rinsing and then marinading them. That will not only tenderize the meat but also draw out alot of the blood and take away most of the unwanted "strong" flavor.

Thanks guys,

I had some deer chops this weekend on the grill...I marinaded them for 24 hours in a water and vinegar based solution. They were great...even my little girls liked them.
