I`m a little cinfused about it, you can really eat as much cheese and eggs as you want. how does that limit calorie intake.

anys i usually have

3 eggs for breakfast

then i go to school, i have assorted nuts between classes, at lunch i`ll have a tuna sandwhich and a fruit(usually an apple or a pair.)

when i get home i have 2 servings of oatmeal, then i have dinner it changes everyday.

Its whatever my mom makes, i try and have it to be meat and vegetables.

For snacks i usually have celery and peanut butter.

My drinks are milk and lots of water, i`ll also be adding a protien shake next week.

Am i following the adams diet, and for people on the diet what were youre results and did you lose any muscle

that's not really the diet.

have the bread on the sandwhich OR the oatmeal.

you need more veggies... eat as many as possible throughout the day.

fyi: this probably belongs in the nutrition forum.

Looks like you've got control over all the meals/snacks except dinner. I'd pick that to be the one where you eat the carbs (if at all). Remember, the carbs are just optional, but only once a day.

So, pick the sandwich OR the oatmeal OR bad carbs at dinner. Not all three.

You CAN eat as much meat and cheese as you want. In theory, you'll only want a certain amount and get full. There are some people who can't follow this diet (me). I never really feel full. So, I count calories.

By the way, there's no reason you can't do both: eat according to Adam's Diet, but count cals to make sure your not taking in too many calories.

Adam's Diet is meant to make counting calories unnecessary, but the principals of low carb and keeping blood sugar low still work if you count calories.

better, but still room for improvement.

-add veggies to your eggs. lots of them. peppers, onions, spinach, asparagus, tomato... whatever you like. but make it look like a plate of diced vegetables held together by a couple of eggs. you'll feel a lot fuller and be much more healthy. you should eat like this with as many meals as possible.

-add some lean protein to your after school/dinner snicks. tuna, chicken, etc. you may want to drizzle some olive oil on the veggies.

i'm not sure if you need to be going on a low carb diet at 15. just eat healthy and get on a solid weightlifting program. how do you know your BF is 24%?

Egg Beaters are fine. The cholestrol in egg yolks won't hurt, as studys show that your body makes it's cholestrol based on other factors. Eating cholestrol doesn't actually cause the rise in your body's production.

So, don't worry about the cholestrol, but also, go ahead with the egg beaters. You can even do 1-2 eggs and 1-2 servings of egg beaters, scrambled.

egg beaters are fine, but you better be adding a bunch of other stuff to the meal. 3 servings of that stuff is less than 100 calories. you need to eat a lot more for breakfast.

Wake up earlier or prepare your food the night before. Breakfast is very important.

Puppet, I commend you for your obvious desire and dedication to improve your fitness through an improved diet. I am also pleased to see that you have the support of your mother in your efforts. That should really help you succeed.

As an old wrestler, I hate to see young people go on "diets". Looking at your stats, weight is not your issue. If I were you I would like to decrease that BF%. (At 5'8" and 165lbs and 13% BF, you would look pretty darn good) At your age you can correct your body composition issues quite quickly through clean eating and increased physical activity. If you didn't know clean eating simply involves making good food choices. That means eating 5 or 6 times a day, including protein every time you eat, avoiding simple carbohydrates, maintaining a good balance of good fats, and eating plenty of lean protein, vegetables, fruits and nuts. And of course avoiding junk! (sugared soda, candy, fried food, packaged snacks and baked goods).(I'll be happy to send you more info if you want).

I swear, if you follow these simple guidelines, you can eat as much as you want and you will lose fat! (Of course Adam's diet is a further refinement of clean eating). If I were you I would adopt clean eating, log your intake at Fitday.com and make adjustments based on your progress. If you have specific questions you are always welcome to ask here.

BTW, your latest sample day looks good. If I were to make any "clean eating adjustments" (not adams diet) I would add cottage cheese to your bedtime snack, make sure that sandwich is on whole wheat bread, add a big salad (I'm sure your mom can find some great dressing recipes with olive oil), maybe some berries (frozen thawed in the microwave on top of cottage cheese is one of my favorite snacks!)

Anyways, just my thoughts. What are you doing for workouts?

My workout is the HGM routine, I`m doing it 3 days a week instead of two like it says.

I also have hockey twice a week so i get a good amount of exercise

I`ll try and updated diet

Breakfast-
3 eggs with a montain of vegatables on top with a slice of cheese. I also take one pill of the Mega men vitamin. Usually i`ll have either orange juice, milk, or water.

School: between classes i have a can of assorted nuts i have between classes. (probably about 1-2 servings).

Lunch at school: Either a whole weat bread sandwhich with deli meat and cheese with mustard, or a tuna sandwhich( one can).

I have an apple or a pear with my lunch.

After school: It really depends

Sometimes its 2 servings of oatmeal, or a salad, or a can of tuna with hot sauce.

Dinner: whatever mom makes usually somewhat healthy. another pill of my mega men

snacks after dinner: Celery with natty PB, cottage cheese.

Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please help if you have any suggestions.

Also is it okay to have planters honey roasted peanuts. Those things are delicious.
