This is my first post. I really need some useful advice from you pros. I am 25, 6'4 385lbs. I now have a workout routine & diet plan. However I know I need some supplements, but don't know what I need to slim down. What supplements do I need to take to go with a workout and diet? Thanks!

I have read other discussions and I have heard that you need protein and other things. I guess my real question is what 2 or 3 supplements is a must have when weight lifting?

Get it from your diet.

Is your goal here fat loss? Where did you get your diet plan from?

I don't know about the rest of the group but I feel that other than a slight increase in your protein intake your diet should help fulfill your needs. I say slight but the rule is a 200 lbs male should have 140 -160 grams of protein per day.

Guys correct me if I am wrong. The only thing I would add is find a good multivitamin. I take an assortment of vitamins because I do not like milk and the taste of carrots along with a few other things and to make up for that lack of vitamins they offer ……I think you see where this is going.

Agreed, it's not always easy to get all the nutrients your body needs from food, especially if you're on a budget. I take a One-a-Day Men's Health multivitamin daily, and make a shake containing a scoop each of Gatorade and ON Instantized Whey after each workout to help muscle growth.

A good website to watch your nutritional intake is http://www.fitday.com. I used it a lot when I first started out to track calories and make sure I was getting a pretty even balance of protein/fat/carbohydrates. Good luck!
