i know this topic has come up before and the general consensus has been "make your own", but i'm going on vacation in a couple of weeks and would like to brings some with me.
any suggestions for a store bought protein bar?

It's hard to be religious when certain people are never incinerated by bolts of lightning.
It's a big ass bar, tons of cals, so if you're not working out, cut it into 5ths and space it out over a couple of hours. I did that sometimes last year when I'd be stuck at school all day.

Yea, the MetRx big 100 bars are fairly clean besides the high-HIGH sugar content. RockHard's idea is good though.
You can always make your own and take those is some plastic bags or foil...that's what I would do.
chef jay's look pretty good too, but i know their label claims have been deemed false by some independent tests. at least they're supposedly made with whole oats.

Jax, I recommend Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough or Peanut Butter Cookie Dough flavor. Both are high in sugar, so they'd be more ideal during your workout time frame. But they each taste good, and I don't believe either contains transfat.

actually, i'm going away on vacation and probably won't be working out much so i'm trying to avoid the bars real high in sugar. basically looking for a MRP type thing.
