Question

I have these two items but I don't really have any way to cook them in my dorm room. I was wondering if I could cook these in the microwave I have in my room. What do you guys think; if I could that would be sweet.

I know for sure that you can do the eggs in the microwave. Just get a micowavable container that is large enough so that when you pour the eggs in it spreads fairly thin across the bottom. From their just experiment with the timing as every microwave is a little different.

I am sure you could do it with the pasta it would probably take a bit longer though. Here again you will have to mess with the timing until you get it right.

Do you think I could microwave like 6 egg whites(basically egg beaters) in a microwave safe bowl that doesn't allow the eggs to be spead thin across? Also, is a pot, like what you would use normally to cook pasta on a stove be microwave safe for cooking the pasta? Thanks so much man.

I wouldnt recommend putting anything metallic in your microwave unless you want to see a fun little light show! If it's a glass pot and microwave safe then it should be ok!

Putting CDs (screwed up burns) in the microwave is also fun!

Yeah, DON'T put the pot in the microwave......on second thought in a dorm you might find a bunch of people that would enjoy the show. It might kill the mirowave but it would surely be a good drunken demonstration.....not that I know anything about that kind of thing.
All kidding aside though, you could use a deeper bowl but it will take longer and you will have to stop it and stir it at least once if you want any sort of consistency.
