Look in my sig and you can see my stats. Has anyone bulked during Int. phase. If so, how were your results. I would especially like to hear from those around my size. But any motivation will help. I am really pumped about starting my first bulk. I have been cutting for so long. Well, I guess in the big scheme of things not that long. Also, I know how a cutting diet should look, and I know on a bulk you still have to eat clean. But my current macro looks like 35/35/30 p/c/f around 2500 cals. My maintenance is around 3300 I think. How may cals and at what macro breakdown should I be eating at. Thanks for the help.

You should probably be comsuming about 3800-4000 calories if your maintence if 3300. Im not really sure what to do for the breakdown. Id keep the protein and carbs up when your about to workout. Follow Berardis method with the P+F and P+C. Im bulking in the beginning stage of BoM and I have had great strength gains but not so much size gains. P.S. I'm on Stage 2. Almost 3.

JJ,
CtA318 has some sound advice. Berardi's methods are well known and proven. Increase your calorie intake slowly. I would start with an additional 300 per day. You want to experiment a little to determine how much you will need to gain about a pound a week or a little more. I am one of those people who has a very tight range. I seem to gain very quickly by just adding a few hundred calories. Damn. Keep the diet clean just like you would in a cutting phase. No sense putting junk into your body just to gain some weight although some use a bulk as an excuse to binge. Not good.

I'm not doing BOM, I'm doing Turbulence Training for Mass. But, I am doing the Massive Eating program.

Berardi claims that if you follow the program you can build muscle AND lose some fat. So far, it does seem to be working that way for me. I've put on some weight, but certain areas (belly) seem to be getting thinner.

The key is following the rules of the program. Meals can have Protein and Fat together (with very little Carbs) or Protein and Carbs together (with very little fat). The P/C meals are primarily in the few hours after a workout.

You have to be disciplined to stick to this type of eating, but I think that this is how the fat loss (or, at least minimal fat gain) is achieved. He's got a lot of articles covering the why's and how's.

http://johnberardi.com/articles/nutr...ating_rl_1.htm
http://johnberardi.com/articles/nutr...ating_rl_2.htm
http://johnberardi.com/updates/july2...calculator.htm

From there, you can read so many of the articles in the Nutrition section. Nutrient Timing, Lean Eating, etc. They are all good reads and applicable to Massive Eating.
