Hey guys, I have been cutting for the past 6 weeks. My stats were at 18.6% BF or around there, and 161-162 lbs. I started at around 2,500 cals and have recently been around 2,000 cals. Im currently lifting heavy and performing HIIT 3 times a week, also following Berardi's meal combinations throught this diet that has been around 30%fat/25%carbs/40%protein. following this plan I am down to 15.1% BF and 152 lbs. I am also going to bang out a couple of low-carb weeks for the duration of my current program (2 weeks). What do you guys think of my progress so fat? I feel as though with the numbers provided above, I'm losing more muscle than BF%, but it could just be me. My abs are certainly more defined and I'm gaining lots of strength during this current program. I want to eventually get down to around 10-12% BF and start a bulking phase. Please let me know what you guys think, by the way I'm 5'8. Thanks.

Well good work.. It does sound like you may be losing some muscle mass.. It could also be water. Have you been staying well hydrated?

Very well hydrated. It seems odd though that I might be losing some muscle mass but attaining great progress strength wise.

As long as you're making strength gains in the gym and you're happy with the physique improvments, then I'd say you're doing fine. Congrats on the progress, and keep up the good work!
