I was just wondering how often some of you guys go out and have quite a few drinks? I know i drink maybe once a week in the summer and in the winter i will probably only drink 2 times a month. I find that when i drink the next day my body feels flabby and lose compared to my regular fairly tight body. I was just curious to see how often you guys drink and how it hinders your fitness goals and your body composition. Thanks
Wes

hockey_god,

I graduated college about a year and a half ago and since then my drinking has reduced dramatically. Back then I was going out my friends drinking about 2 nights a week, sometimes more. I never remember getting too hung over or feeling too bad the next day. Now, I can have 3-4 beers and feel lethargic and "flabby" the next day. Its probably one of the reasons I don't drink that much anymore.
Lately when I do go out, I shouldn't even think about working out the next day, because I ALWAYS will have a terrible lift and will not have enough energy to make it worth while. I'll usually rest a day and then get back into it. It obviously can cause some bad set-backs in my workout plan.

I'm currently in college and don't drink at all. I really see no reason to possibly drink, to each his own though.

When I was in school I drank regularly and know exactly what you mean. I cannot see how regular drinking can be anything but bad for you. SOme people do the one drink a night thing. That's not for me. I rarely drink now. Maybe once every 4-5 months.

I drink one or two nights a week most of the time. Sometimes its less often very rarely its more. It can have a negative effect on body comp, especially if you are drinking a lot of beer but it can be managed. For me its worth the extra bit of work I have to do for the stories, fun, and experiences I have gotten at school partying.

I should also mention ripped abs aren't a huge deal for me nor are they my goal so take that into consideration.

Mostly on special occasions. 2 or 3 beers or a couple of glasses of wine over a few hours, when I do.

Other than that, a glass of wine or a low carb margarita about once a week with my wife.

Unluckily I usually drink a couple of times a week. Not anything like when I was in college a couple of years ago. Now I'm in Adam's Diet so I won't be drinking much. Trying to stay clean.
