I try and not be judgmental of how others eat. If it works for them, then great. I don't see McD's as anything other than another option. Food or companies that make food are not evil nor good.
If it doesn't work for you then go somewhere else. If eating there 30 days in a row hurts then don't do it! When supersize me came out I asked around, "did anyone think going into the movie that McD's was "healthy or good for you in anyway?" No one thought it was ok, even my 5 year olds didn't. Anyone who does not understand this has only themselves to blame (or if they're kids then their parents).
I get grief from so called nutrition wizards who can't believe I eat the way I do, then I turn around and the Vegans tell me everyone else is wrong, then the weight lifters tell me something else. This isn't counting my grandmother...
My goals are more in line with the lifters so I focus on that, and then must listen to my vegan and more traditional friends tell me how gross and disugusting it is to eat all that meat (chicken and turkey) and how it was going to kill me before I'm 50. (I'd bet that I live alot longer than they do)
Now I know a guy that's trying to tell me that eating veggies is only good if I'm the one to cut them up. One more group to cast their judgement on the rest of the world...
I've concluded there is no right or wrong way to eat. There is only the way that works for you and your goals. I have a relative that ate fried, greasy foods for his whole 96 years and sat in front of the TV all day. No one had ever seen a veggie or a piece of fruit pass his lips, BTW McD's was his favorite. My grandfather, on the other hand, was very picky had to have the combinations of Protien, Carb, Fat at the recommended allowance etc, he walked miles everyday, exercised everyday, he died at 65.
Everyone must decide what works for them and what doesn't. It's a personal "thing".
