Diet, Nutrition and SupplementationPost here for supplement reviews or nutritional advice. If you're trying to get "ripped abz" THIS is where you should be.
Hi! New here, and after reading lots of previos posts about "Adam's Diet", "PWO" 'Low-Carb/Insuline levels" etc; I'm more lost and confused than ever before. But somehting I have not read yet is anybody talking about soups. Sometimes I have some for lunch with a salad or sandwich, or at dinner. If canned, I usually get 'Healthy Choice' of 'Progresso" brands. And try to avoid creamy soups as much as possible. Do Are soups good/bad? Veg. based soups count as a serving of veggies? I don't see anybody listing soups as part of their diet.
Soups are great, particularly if fat loss is your goal, since they fill you up with relatively few calories. I make my own since they're so easy - just brown some meat and throw it into a crock pot overnight with a bunch of veggies and broth. Can't beat it. My only issue with the canned ones is that they very rarely have much protein.
And usually, the canned ones have a ton of sodium.

Though I did just buy a ton of the Campbell's Chunky Beef with Country Vegetables (for just $1 a piece!) and it has 22g protein, 8g fiber per can. Pretty darn cool for poor boy over here!
Johnka, thans very much for the "welcome"
And the rest of you, thanks for your opinion, I'm really a "soup" guy, and it would be hard for me to give this up. Now, I know that I don't have to, I only need to be careful.
