Interesting diet, seems to have been around for years. hmmm I wonder what happens when the diet is over and they go back to their normal eating habits?
Here's a couple of paragraphs,
"The Siegal system requires clients to undergo a series of medical tests, including a blood test and an electrocardiogram(EKG), before being prescribed their diet. Clients with medical conditions, such as diabetes or a hyperactive thyroid, need personalized treatment. Initial costs, including the tests, come to $225.
The average daily Siegal diet consists of six high-protein, low-calorie cookies that are designed to suppress hunger by supplying amino acids. The cookies total 500 calories a day and clients are allowed another 300-calorie meal. Unlike the leniency in the Atkins' diet, Siegal advises against fatty foods for most people.
The program costs $98 a month, plus $21 for a week's supply of cookies, which are manufactured in Kendall by Dr. Siegal's Clinic Supply Corp."
